On a warm June day in 2024, Katie & James celebrated their love at the breathtaking Steventon House Hotel in Oxfordshire. This stunning Victorian house, with its elegant architecture and picturesque gardens, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Known for its charm and timeless beauty, Steventon House Hotel is an exclusive wedding venue that blends historic grandeur with modern luxury, ensuring a truly magical setting for any couple’s big day.
The day began with both bridal prep and groom prep taking place at the venue, allowing me to seamlessly move between the two parties to capture every moment of excitement, anticipation, and joy. The floral displays were simply mesmerizing—true works of art carefully crafted by the talented team at Gilt Edge Events. Based in Oxfordshire, Gilt Edge Events are renowned for their exquisite floral arrangements and event styling, transforming spaces into breathtaking, romantic settings.
Katie’s walk down the aisle was an emotional moment, as she was accompanied by her father. With her mother having sadly passed away just weeks before, there was an added layer of sentiment and love in the air, making the moment all the more poignant. The ceremony was heartfelt and touching, a true testament to the love shared between Katie & James.
Following the ceremony, family and friends gathered in the hotel’s gardens to enjoy drinks and canapés under the golden sunshine. Laughter, love, and joy filled the air as everyone celebrated the newly weds. The speeches took place outdoors, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere as loved ones shared their heartfelt words and fond memories of the couple, the highlight for me was when everyone was handed Jägerbombs and having to down in one, including James nan who I believe had two!!!
As the sun began to set, I took Katie & James around the beautiful gardens for some intimate portraits. The soft, golden light made for truly magical moments, capturing their love in the most stunning way. As night fell, the real party began—dancing, laughter, and joy took over as guests hit the dance floor, celebrating long into the night.
The grand finale of this incredible day came at 10:15 pm when the sky was illuminated with a breathtaking fireworks display. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with love, emotion, and unforgettable memories.
